• Readings are estimates from consumer microphones, not certified measurements (see accuracy and limitations).
• Do not rely on them for hearing-safety, workplace-compliance, legal or medical decisions.
• The app runs as-is, without warranty. Audio processing stays on your device; you are responsible for permissions and local laws on recording.

Acceptable use

Use the meter for personal comparison, learning and screening checks. Do not use exported CSV or JSON values as evidence of compliance with noise regulations or product specifications. Calibration improves device-specific agreement with a reference but does not make the browser a certified instrument — see calibration and the validation protocol.
